Golden Moment of the Day (From Last Week)

As typical of a nuclear family, mornings are usually pretty hectic on days that the kids have to go to daycare. We're always on the move getting dressed, getting the kids dressed, getting them to eat, prepping lunches, eating breakfast ourselves and making sure we have everything for the day, so it's always nice to get a little help.

Colin will occasionally be sensitive in the morning, wanting to be held all the time and being very picky about what he eats. This particular morning, he was being Whiny Boy, and ended up dropping his V-Reader on his toe while following me around to try and get me to pick him up. As I headed over to the freezer to get an ice pack, Danica got down from her seat at the kitchen table and started patting him on the back saying, "It's okay. You'll be okay. Do you want an ice pack?"

Runner-up Golden Moment of (That) Day: Danica sleeping in until 8:00 am because she woke up pretty much on the hour from 1:00 am to 4:00 am that morning. It was like a small miracle. Why couldn't it have been on the weekend?
